Sinaii to film Aram’s “Shadow of the Sea”

Sinaii is scheduled to shoot the feature-length movie in the summer.

He told MNA that he is planning to negotiate with several producers and hopes to make his final decision soon.

He noted that “Shadow of the Sea” features the harsh living conditions of southern women, and that its theme is very similar to that of his previous movie “Bride of Fire”, adding, “I will try to decrease these similarities so that my latest movie will be quite independent from the other.”

He went on to say, “I always make films I find personally attractive. ‘Bride of Fire’ was produced in the year 2000 and was warmly received in its time. Some thought I would follow on in the same genre, but I chose to make a dissimilar movie in ‘Talking with a Shadow’, which was also acclaimed. I hope this one will also find its spectators.”

Sinaii, 67, is the writer and director of many feature-length films, documentaries and short films.

His credits include “Like a Tale” (2006), “Carpet, Horse, Turkmen” (2006), “Talking with a Shadow” (2005), “Bride of Fire” (2000), “Alley of the Fall” (1997), “In the Alleys of Love” (1991), “The Beloved is Home” (1988) and “Long Live” (1979)

Aram has also recently finished a collection of seven short stories entitled “No One Invites Us for Dinner” which will be released soon by Ofoq Publications.

His novel “Trainer of Dogfish” is ready for publication, and his two other books “A Stranger in the Salt Stream” and “The Corpse Who Feels Fine” have been published for the second time..
